A new extremely needed database-handling module DBRepair was added to the set of Artix BroadsWord utilities. DBRepair can repair the system internal database with all data remaining unchanged. In case the database is corrupted hard it allows to recreate all database structure but all data stored will be lost.

Artix Line shipped the mass notification system to Cheliabinsk according to the purchase order of the local branch of Russian Federation Central Bank.

A new Artix BroadsWord 2.0 version is released. The new version has the Manager module instead of the old call processing module Caller that is a reliable multithreaded, multitasking application designed with a thread controlling each voice channel. The old approach was based on the multiprocessing model when each channel is controlled by a dedicated process (Caller.exe). Now you will never see "Unexpected error in Caller.exe" error-message.

September 16, 1998

A new useful feature was added into the Mass Notifier's statistics. The system administrator can choose amongst a variety of statistic and system productivity reports presented in various forms such as 3D/2D pie and linier diagrams, system log-file, etc.

Artix BroadsWord Mass Notifier was transformed into voice and fax notifier. Fax is supported for integrated voice&fax VFX/40ESC PLUS boards.

Notification to pager was added to Artix BroadsWord. Now it can send to phone, alternative phone, pager and fax according to various notification scenarios.

The intelligent answering machine detection and processing was added to Artix BroadsWord. Now our system can leave a message to a personal mailbox if the recipient's extension is known.

Artix Line has sold and successfully installed a corporate networking FACSys fax server and several VocalTec IP-telephony gateways at ITAR-TASS information agency headquarters.
